Aberlady is an ideal base for exploring all that East Lothian has to offer; beautiful countryside, sandy beaches, historic buildings and birdwatching.

Aberlady itself is home to the Aberlady Bay Bird Sanctuary and the Scottish Ornithological Centre.

Summer boat trips can be taken from North Berwick to The Bass Rock or the Isle of May.  The historic towns of Dirleton, Dunbar and North Berwick are ready to be visited for shopping and beaches!

Scotland's Golf Coast

If you are a golfer then Aberlady is the perfect place in Scotland – or indeed the world – in which to find yourself!!  We are at the centre of Scotland’s Golf Coast – the real home of golf!

Our coast is dripping with Links courses… There are nineteen courses within fifteen minutes’ drives of Ducks Inn; ten have hosted championships and five have been qualifiers for The Open at Muirfield.

Archerfield Golf Course and The Renaissance Club are less than ten minutes from us.  The historic courses of St Andrews are also only a scenic ninety minutes away by car.
