    Everything was just done so beautifully. Bread – generous baskets with proper, good bread – wasn’t brought to the table so ridiculously early that we’d gorged ourselves full before our delightful food arrived. One went native with venison (last tried with disastrous consequences in France in the 1980s) but this … this was sublime. Everyone else had monkfish and enjoyed it. Then there was a cup of pre-dessert, most unusual combination of thyme and lime which was absolutely sensational. Fina… absolutely sensational
